  1. hi
firstly thank you for such a wonderful resource.
Unfortunately 5 images on this page alone are coming up as RIGHTS MANAGED and as that includes by GETTY IMAGES who are notorious for suing or settling for $10,000’s so users needs be very aware of that.
The good news is, there is a free browser add on https://www.facebook.com/pages/ImageExchange-by-PicScout-Every-Image-Gets-Its-Credit/238563449179 which will help one avoid those ones.
Personally I do not understand why some from same book are and others not, especially if you scanned them yourself. Big biz gets it’s greedy mitts on all it can. As you have ads on same page and are easily found by search for PD images you may wish to remove those 5 to be safe, as there are those who seek out such like bounty hunters.
Hope this is helpful and again thank you for such a helpful resource.

    1. Thank you for your comment.
What images are you referring to? We are not aware of any images that are rights managed, with the exception of some creative commons images from Wikimedia Commons which we have properly cited, such as: Cat scan or scan of cat. Perhaps the same images are obtained from a different source, and show up under the plug-in you reference, although when obtained from a different source they are not right managed. This is the issue: some entities claim copyright on things that should not be copyrighted, such as 2-d scans of out-of-copyright or public domain images.

Readers, please note that we are not a right-clearinghouse, and please see the FAQs for more.

Some may find this public domain chart from Cornell U. to be useful.
