FYI-From my research on C.M. Coolidge, I do not believe this to be based on the original, I have been researching him for quite some time; he has had/still has many imitators and I believe this to be one of them. For instance, mine shows him with low cards in his hand, different placement of beer glass, different version of chips-those in front of the bluffer are stacked on mine. Perhaps I’m wrong and if so, I sure would like to know.
Thanks.
Sandy
Sandy, thanks for the info. We used the citation from the source but perhaps you are correct that this is “school of Coolidge.”
I believe Sandy is referring to the first in this two painting series, A Bold Bluff. The one posted here is “Waterloo”.
